Take a look to the track list of the soundtrack of Super, the upcoming superhero comedy movie directed by James Gunn and starring Rainn Wilson and Ellen Page:
The movie soundtrack of Super will be released on April 5, 2011.
“The music is based on simple ideas that grow emotionally deeper as the story unfolds. The ‘Crimson Bolt’ theme is not exactly ‘Spiderman’. It’s a bit low rent but in musical terms it tells the story of Frank becoming the Crimson Bolt.
In the context of Super, Gunn asked me to explore conflicting emotions simultaneously. There are many tragic moments in the film that are funny as hell. And while the score sometimes brings a bit of levity to the table, it is largely steeped in realistic emotions.”

I thought the movie was brilliant and I must own the sound track.
The movie “Super” was amazing and the soundtrack brilliant. I must own those songs. How?
Super was the kind of film I’ve been waiting to see. I know kick ass came out first but these films were virtually being made at the same time. Super had a lot of heart swell as blood shed. I highly recommend this film to those who like cinema a little bit more raw and not quite so polished. Brilliant film and the soundtrack is a rare case where the film images and music fit like a glove, a perfect combination!
The awesome Super movie soundtrack is available at Amazon.
I saw that movie just now. Its story is some kind of related to autistic person. I just consider the circumstance of crimson bolt that convinced me of his violent actions. At the last background music peak of the orgasmic that really push me to the blink of tears. He already knows that the world would never change but at least he try to change. He lives with rabbit just like a movie “Leon” for dedicate his life for ex-wife’s children.
sounded like the clash or better yet, more like Joe Strummer.. what songs were these and who was the band??
Great movie and soundtrack – the band you reference that sounds like Joe Strummer (that’s who I thought it was too) is Moneybrother – from Sweden of all places
